The Porsche Carrera GT is already one of the most thrilling, driver-focused cars ever produced. Pair that automotive excellence with a complete recommission by the Porsche Classic Center in Germany, and you’ve created a fully bespoke Carrera GT that can never be replicated. This specific example was the first ever Carrera GT recommission and features a plethora of unique details never offered on the original Carrera GT.
To start, the car was entirely stripped down to a bare carbon tub and repainted in the stunning shade of Oak Green Metallic. The Carrera GT badge on the rear bumper is finished in Gold, and the wheels were refinished in Satin White Gold, complementing the elegant exterior color choice. Every part of the exterior carbon fiber including front air dam and rear diffuser has been polished and refinished, bringing the now 20-year-old car back to one resembling a new car but with upgrades and finishes never available on the car when it was new.
Designed purely around the driver, the cabin features an emphasis on lightweight materials, mimicking a race-car like experience inside the full carbon fiber tub with leather upholstery and aluminum trim components surrounding you. The carbon fiber bucket seats are upholstered in a stunning Oxblood leather with pepita seat inserts, and the seat belt pass-throughs finished in Oak Green Metallic. The oxblood leather can also be seen on the armrests, lining the inside of the front trunk, and on the a/c vent tabs.
The options with the Carrera GT recommissions are practically limitless. On a standard Carrera GT, the door cards are exposed carbon fiber, but on this example, the door cards were finished in Oak Green Metallic - bringing some of the exterior into the cockpit. Some more details on the interior include diamond-stitched leather floor mats and padding behind the seats. The handbrake and front lid/engine cover surround on the driver side, as well as the storage tray that runs alongside the passenger seat, are also encased in Black leather. The steering wheel has also been slight thickened giving a more reassuring feel in the hand.
To match the wheels and rear emblem, the engine cover is also finished in Gold, adding a very unique touch to an already impressive engine bay. Since this was a complete overhaul of every detail, the full carbon tub has also been completely refinished to make it look brand new again. With this being the first ever Carrera GT recommission, there is a plaque on the driver-side fender depicting its originality, the date it was completed, a signature by , and the vin number.
The car comes with paint protection film covering the entire body, including interior pieces such as the carbon door sills. Also included is two paint-matched keys, the factory Carrera GT owners manual in black and oxblood leather, and service records.
