Merit Partners is pleased to present the addition of our latest 2006 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren completed by McLaren Special Operations (MSO). SLR 833 is an excellent example finished in Crystal Laurite Silver Metallic over a new specially designed blue leather interior. This example came to us from a great collector client of ours who sent the car to Woking for 9 months to be completely redone. The car is now here in our facility ready to be enjoyed by its new owner without the time and hassle to complete the work. MSO confirmed they have only done about 30 of these MSO upgrades and to our knowledge there are only a small few in the USA. SLR by MSO gives a new elegant look to the exterior and interior of the car while also providing significant changes to the way the car drives. The SLR sat side by side the Enzo and the CGT during its time and to us represents a collectible car that will continue to increase in value. SLR by MSO can be thought of like a “heritage” program and we will outline the improvement below as the total came to $235,000 in MSO upgrades. First is the Aero Plus Package ($29,271.50) which includes a revised front splitter and rear ducktail spoiler, rear diffuser and beautiful fender louvers. Following an extensive development program at the MIRA wind tunnel, the SLR by MSO produced the same down force as an SLR 722 with a reduction in overall drag. Handling Package ($25,312.93) which includes suspension and steering rack. Running a 20mm lower ride height, new springs and dampers brings significant improvements in ride on the road without affecting track performance. The result is a much more progressive steering feel on turn-in and improved handling by eliminating yaw oscillations and corner-to-corner pitching. A few more upgrades are as follow: SLR By MSO 19’ Wheels ($10,574.13), SLR By MSO Sports Exhaust ($21,342.15) which is (+40 HP, - 35 lbs) with in cabin control. Low Temp Cooler Upgrade ($34,151.10), New braking module (warranty executed by MB Germany), Paddle shift steering wheel, Paint protection film, and all completed service A+ B performed. Full Interior Retrim ($54,895.50) with matching luggage in blue. The SLR by MSO has a new specially designed blue leather interior. This includes special SLR by MSO unique leather and string weave for the seats, replicated by tooling in the door cards. Box weave carpet, woven piping and special SLR by MSO badging complete the interior retrim. The car comes complete with all its documentation from MSO, luggage, 2 keys, records, and clean Carfax.
