Merit Partners is pleased to present this extremely rare 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS finished paint-to-sample GT Silver with black interior. This GT3 RS represents only 1 of 5 cars finished in GT Silver across the entire world. We acquired this car from a prominent Porsche collector who acquired the car from the original owner who cared for the car up until 2021. 

Porsche built 1500 of these for the world, almost exactly the same count (1580) as the legendary ’73 RS. Amongst drivers and collectors, the 997 is widely held as the last 911 platform to be both analog and aesthetically old-school before subsequent platforms grew in size, weight, and electronics and became more GT cars. It is believed that 600 of these came to North America, with a mere 46 Paint to Sample cars included. Of note is that the 997 was the last model where PTS was truly rare and special. While less than 8% of these were PTS, current production sees PTS figures in the 20-25% range.

A close analysis of these 46 cars provides the following facts (each representing separate cars):

• One totaled and exported as a wreck

• Two with their engines replaced

• Three with Carfax reported accidents

• Two known to have repainted panels

• Five known to have been mechanically modified for track use

Having eliminated the 13 cars above from being collector grade, a further analysis of the remaining 33 cars provides the following facts:

• 13 cars with mileage in excess of 10,000 (many of these in excess of 20,000)

• 10 cars owned by top-level wealthy collectors who simply are not sellers at any price

This GT Silver example is one of the final 10 cars in existence and represents amazing collectibility for the next custodian.

With only slightly over 1,800 miles, the overall condition of this RS is collector grade. The exterior of the car is protected with PPF and has no chips or scrapes to speak of. The interior of the car is in excellent condition and is accentuated by the yellow accents. The only modification done to the car is the cage that has been added to the interior of the car.
