Merit Partners is pleased to present a historic example of an iconic Ferrari, F50 number 002/349. As the third Ferrari halo supercar following the 288 GTO and the F40, the F50 was released to mark Ferrari’s 50th anniversary. The F50 marked a huge shift from its predecessor in the F40. Where the F40 featured a twin-turbocharged V8 in a coupe, the F50 featured a naturally aspirated V12 convertible. The engine of the F50 was F1 derived and very similar to the one used in the 90’s racing icon, the 333SP.

After being released at the Geneva Auto Show in 1995, the F50 would be showcased to the world again at the Frankfurt Auto Show. This example, chassis 103114, was the very car shown at the Frankfurt Auto Show, solidifying its place as one of the most significant F50’s.

Following its showing at the Frankfurt Auto Show, this F50 was sold new to a prominent German collector. After changing hands in Germany, the car was sold into one of the most significant Ferrari collections in the US in 2017. During importation to the US, the car was federalized at JK technologies in Maryland. Due to federalization, the car received the US substitute VIN plaque on the dashboard that is shown in the pictures.

In the US, the car remained in single ownership until 2020 when we sold the car to a friend and one of our best clients. The car was subsequently serviced to perfection. At Ferrari New England in late 2020, the car received:

  • A full major service which included replacement of all fluids, filters, spark plugs and drive belt in addition check and set valve clearance.

  • Heat exchanger replacement.

  • Front timing cover reseal, front main seal replacement, cam cover and rear main seal replacement.

  • Service totaling $30k

  • Reupholstered dashboard

At Ferrari Atlanta, with one of the world’s top F50 mechanics, the car received:

  • Tubi manifold, muffler delete, and cat bypass high-flow pipes

The car is classiche certified and comes with the following parts:

  • F50 hard box

  • Hard top

  • Soft top

  • Factory Exhaust

  • Car cover

  • Briefcase

  • Photo album of build/testing

  • Classiche red book

  • Tow hook

Additionally, the car received full car PPF in 2021 by renowned installer Albert Borboa with Filmwerks. The car has no paintwork and the carbon weave can be seen through the paint as normal for original F50’s.

Currently showing 4,012 miles, this F50 is accompanied by the factory-issued briefcase, the flight case for the removable hardtop, the Ferrari Classiche Red Book, a.photo album of the car’s production and testing, a car cover, and the factory exhaust.

This car represents the special opportunity to buy a historically significant F50 in concours level condition. We firmly believe that the market for 90’s supercars will only continue to rise and this car will follow suit as one of the prime F50 examples.
